Holdcroft Motor Group has bought ALM Garages’ Hyundai business in Macclesfield for an undisclosed sum.
This is Holdcroft’s fifth Hyundai business. It already runs the franchise in Crewe, Hanley, Stafford and Ellesmere Port.
Its most recent acquisition was in July last year when it bought a Hyundai business in Stafford.
Holdcroft is rated 45 in the motor Motor Trader Top 200 with annual turnover of £293.8m
Darren Holdcroft, managing director at Holdcroft Motor Group, said: “Macclesfield is a region where we have wanted to operate for some time and we are delighted to have purchased the ALM business.
“We very much look forward to welcoming some new colleagues into the group. Macclesfield is a great market and I feel that ALM will complement our growing portfolio.”
David Kendrick, partner at UHY Hacker Young, which advised the shareholders of ALM Garages with the sale said:
“ALM Garages have represented a number of brands in Macclesfield over the years and have a very strong name in the area.
“Becoming part of a larger group such as Holdcroft will no doubt bring further opportunities for the business to flourish.”
