Arnold Clark saw a total of 191 apprentices graduate from its academies in 2017.
The dealer group held a graduation event at its training arm GTG Training in Glasgow last week to celebrate the occasion.
The scheme is growing. Last year 150 apprentices passed through the scheme, a 27% increase.
Alongside the apprentices were 22 service and parts managers and 54 service advisors who were also graduating with industry qualifications, accredited by the Institute of the Motor Industry.
Nadia McLatchie, level 3 mechanics qualified apprentice said: “I’m really looking forward to starting my work as a fully qualified mechanic at Kilmarnock Ford.”
Stewart MacAulay, Arnold Clark aftersales director said: “‘The event has been a great success and the hard work from each and every apprentice was not just recognised, but celebrated.
“It’s a great feeling knowing that the careers of these apprentices are just getting started and we’re glad to have helped them take that first step. It’s important that as a company we are investing in the future workforce with our apprenticeship programme.”
Matthew Clark, level 3 Light vehicle maintenance qualified apprentice added: “My apprenticeship has been a fantastic experience, and I’m so pleased to be qualified now. The training I received at GTG was of a really high standard, and I’m looking forward to continuing my career at Arnold Clark Dundee Balfield Complex.”
