Alfa Romeo is gearing up to sell 13,000 cars in 2010 from the 9,000 it sold in 2009.
The brand is due to launch the new MiTo MultiAir engines including the model topping 1.4 TB 170bhp Cloverleaf in the first quarter of 2010.
And the Alfa 147 replacement, the new C segment Alfa Giulietta will be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in early March. Alfa said it expected to launch it in the UK in June or July.
At the recent Motor Trader Open Point Roadshow, the company said it wanted to grow its network. It had 48 dealers and wanted to increase its representation to 60 sites. Open points then included Liverpool, Milton Keynes, Bristol, Croydon and Oxford.
Alfa sales in the 11 months to November 2009 were up almost 50 per cent to 8,468 compared to 5,693 in 2008.
The brand was boosted with the launch of Mito in 2009, which sold 5,734 cars, according to Jato figures.
The outgoing 147 sold 353 units for the period compared to 1,177 a year earlier and the Spyder also fell to 152 (699). The GT sold 231 units (1,078 in 2008) according to Jato.
