Audi prices all-new Q2 SUV from £20k

Audi_Q2_2_2016_620Audi dealers will be finding showroom space for another addition to the brand’s expanding line-up with the launch of the Q2 SUV.

The Q2 will be the smallest member of Audi’s SUV line-up and designed to appeal to younger, urban-based buyers. Order books have opened with prices ranging from £20,230 to £31,170.

The Q2 will be offered with a choice of 150PS 1.4 TFSI petrol and 115PS 1.6 TDI diesel engines, both able to be combined with either six-speed manual or S tronic auto transmissions, driving through the front wheels.

A 2.0 TDI with 150PS will also be available with the option of quattro all-wheel-drive with Audi suggesting a degree of off-road ability.

Arriving later in the year will be the entry model powered by a new three-cylinder 1.0 TFSI engine and priced at £20,230.

Q2s will be available in Audi’s three familiar trim levels of SE, Sport and S line. There will also be a range-topping Edition #1 model priced at £31,170.  Available to order from September, it will be finished in a bespoke Quantum grey exterior colour with contrasting lower body sections in Manhattan Grey, black C pillars and a styling pack also in black.

Equipment on this version will include 18-inch rotor alloy wheels, illuminated interior inlays in a choice of 10 colours, and front sports seats in Nappa leather with contrast stitching in Amaretto brown, this theme continued on the floor mats, kneepads and door armrests.

All Q2 models will include as standard the pre sense front system, that can brake the car if it senses a collision is likely, including with pedestrians crossing in front. Audi’s smartphone interface, compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto systems, is also included on all models.

Meanwhile Audi will continue to cascade down technology from its larger cars, with such recent releases as the Virtual Cockpit digital dashboard, head-up display and a host of driver assistance systems on the options list.
