Autoglym and Tjekvik partner to help dealers boost aftersales profit

Autoglym and Tjekvik have signed an agreement that will see Autoglym products and services promoted and sold through various UK dealerships.

Tjekvik’s Home and Indoor aftersales check-in solutions enable customers to securely check their vehicle in and out, how, when and where they want –at home on their own device, or in the dealership via a Tjekvik touchscreen kiosk. Autoglym offerings can now be presented automatically to customers at check-in.

Christian Mark, CEO and Co-Founder at Tjekvik, said: “More aftersales customers than ever are choosing to purchase additional products and services when they check their vehicles in for service, repair or MOT via digital self-service technologies.

“Autoglym has an unrivalled reputation in the car care segment and I’m certain thousands of customers will take up the opportunity to buy these products so they can give their cars a cosmetic refresh to match the mechanical update provided by the dealer.”

In H1 2024, customers interacting with Tjekvik technology purchased over 141,000 value-added items. This generated over £7 million in additional revenue for UK dealers, averaging almost £1.1million per month across all sites.

Tjekvik’s network of UK dealers includes Group 1, Hartwell, JCB Group, and Vertu.

Dealers can choose which of Autoglym’s products and services they offer, and stock will be supplied direct from Autoglym’s Letchworth-based headquarters. The products will initially include Foaming Car Wash, Interior Shampoo, Fast Glass, Odour Eliminator, Screenwash and De-Icer.

Aimee Osmond, Head of Professional Marketing at Autoglym LifeShine, said: “While the LifeShine solution is already sold and applied by many of the UK’s largest automotive dealer groups, our agreement with Tjekvik will mean Autoglym’s wide range of exterior and interior car care products will become available to a far broader, highly engaged customer base.”
