Ben book set to raise £10,000

Ben, the automotive industry charity, hopes to raise up to £100,000 through sales of its Ben Book of Numbers reference guide.

The charity hopes the new publication, edited by leading automotive academic Professor Peter Cooke, of Nottingham Business School, will become an annual industry reference source.

The book features data collated from Motor Trader, the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, Acea, the European car manufacturers trade association and the DVLA.

According to Ben the book, published by Bearing Point, is designed to provide motor industry executives, analysts, researchers and students with an annually updated summary of automotive statistics.

“Access to market information is essential to help steer strategic and market planning in today’s constantly evolving automotive industry.,” said Gerard Barclay, Ben’s chief executive.
