Benfield director joins MT/ASE Financial Conference line-up

Ged Murray (pictured), finance director of Benfield Motor Group, has joined the line-up for this year’s ASE/Motor Trader Financial Conference.

This popular CPD-accredited conference, aimed at finance directors and managers working in the motor retail sector, will be held on 12 June at Whittlebury Hall, Towcester, Northamptonshire.

With the day focusing on best practice in financial management, Murray’s session will address the Key Financial Challenges of Running a Top 20 Dealer Group.

The highly successful Benfield has emerged as one of the rising stars of the Motor Trader Top 200, where it is rated at number 18, with a £500m turnover and employing over 1,500 staff across 34 dealerships in the North East of England, Yorkshire, Cumbria and South West Scotland.

Murray, an industry stalwart who has held senior group finance positions with Reg Vardy, Vardy Group and Northgate, will shed light on how the group is managing growth having recently expanded its Audi and Ford operations and opening the UK’s first standalone Maserati showroom.

Other speakers include Chris Harris, HR Owen’s marketing and customer director, Mike Allen, Panmure’s Gordon’s specialist automotive analyst and ASE founder Trevor Jones.

There will also be a special financial reporting update from Bruce Cowie, director of Kaplan Financial.
