Benfield Motor Group has opened a new £7m Audi dealership in Newcastle.
The 35,000 sq ft dealership, set on a 4.5 acre site, is one of the largest Audi dealership in the North of England.
Benfield chief executive Mark Squires (pictured) said: “From facilities which were beginning to tire compared with our North Tyneside, Wearside and Teesside centres, the new Newcastle Audi will become the proud flagship for North East Audi.”
The new development has a 19-car display area and space for 80 used vehicles.
The development also includes an aftersales facility, 19-bay workshop, private lounge area and a Quattro Lounge with free Wi Fi and refreshments.
Benfield is rated 15 in the Motor Trader Top 200 with pre tax profits of £3.1m on turnover of £541m in the year to December 2012.
It employs 1,500 staff and has 34 retail outlets throughout the North East of England, Yorkshire, Cumbria and South West Scotland across a portfolio 16 car retail brands.
Benfield has been expanding. In January it opened a new Ford dealership in Sunderland with an investment of £5.8m.
