Big Motoring World looks to expand vehicle sourcing channels

Big Motoring World is pulling out the stops to source stock as it opened its newest store in Camberley.

“The Camberley store has capacity for an additional 800 vehicles and the group has been working over recent months to source additional stock from a wide range of channels including both traditional auctions, direct from consumer and through strategic partnerships,” it said in a statement

Commenting on the group’s sourcing strategy, Vaughan CEO Laurence Vaughan said: “We are keen to actively seek to expand our vehicle sourcing channels in a move that could be mutually beneficial for not only us, but also our partners.”

Speaking about the group’s future EV strategy, Vaughan said: ‘The future of the UK car parc is going to be heavily reliant on EV.

“We are consistently seeing sales increasing within the used EV space, so we are working to help support our customers on this journey by offering a bespoke EV warranty that will put Big at the forefront of the sector.’

“As we increase our footprint nationally, we have the opportunity to expand our offering to more customers. I am confident that we can continue growing, with Camberley providing a promising insight into where our growth could lead.”

The Camberley store opened its doors two weeks earlier than scheduled, with the first customers welcomed to the group’s newest branch on 18th October. Seeing a strong start to sales, the site sold 44 cars across its opening weekend, with unexpected queues forming outside the showroom.
