BMW reveals all-new 3 Series

BMW has released details of its six generation 3 Series which goes on sale from UK dealerships on 11 February 2012.

With prices ranging from £24,100 to £28,080, the new saloon line up will feature four engines from launch.

BMW said the new car will be 93mm longer than the model it replaces, with more space for rear seat passengers and luggage. It is also lighter, quicker and more fuel-efficient.

The brand also promises a wide personalisation programme allowing customers to order bespoke cars from dealers.

BMW claims low price rises despite improved specification across the range. It said the 320i increases by £75 whilst the 320d is up by £180. The 328i is £530 more expensive than the less powerful 325i in the previous range.

BMW also announced the addition of four wheel drive and hybrid powertrains to the 3 Series for the first time in the UK. These will be available towards the end of 2012.
