The event comes at an important time for SsangYong as it grows UK volumes, prepares to launch an all-new volume crossover model and debuts new powertrains across its line-up.
The brand is currently one of the fastest growing in the UK having just enjoyed its strongest ever plate-change month in September with sales of 400 cars and commercials as it heads for a year of amazing growth with over 1,700 sales.
Much of SsangYong’s growth over the last 18 months is down to a renewal or facelift of its entire model range, better supply of its main volume car, the Korando, an attractively styled C-segment crossover, high uptake for its revamped Turismo MPV and strong demand for its Korando Sports pickup.
The sales growth has also been aided by the fast expansion of its UK dealer network which now has 57 sales sites having already appointed 12 new dealers since January, a number of whom joined from Chevrolet. SsangYong has also been successful in signing up specialist independent used car retailers taking on their first new car franchise.
