Carwow reveals most profitable marque from Q2 auctions

Porsche vehicles offer retailers the most consistently high average profit potential, according to Carwow. 56 used Porsche models achieved an average profit potential of £2,707, ahead of Land Rover at £2,665.

Profit potential of £4,970 for a 2019 Porsche 911 was recorded during Q2 auctions, placing the model in first position.

Porsche’s 2019 version of the 911 was followed by the 2022 Range Rover Sport (£4,775), the 2018 Range Rover (£3,929), the 2021 Volvo XC90 (£3,717) and the 2019 Mercedes GLE (£3,673).

In sixth place was the 2020 BMW Z4 (£3,446), followed by the 2020 Jaguar I-Pace (£3,298), the 2019 Audi Q7 (£3,246), the 2016 Land Rover Discovery (£3,088) and the 2021 Kia EV6 (£3,078).

This is the first time Kia has featured in Carwow’s quarterly report of the most profitable models.

Sally Foote, Carwow’s CCO – Sell My Car, said: “It’s great to see such a mix of makes and models in our top 10 list for Q2. It shows the diversity of stock available on our platform to help retailers meet demand via our trusted daily auctions.

“While it is positive to see UK new car registrations reach the one million mark in the latest SMMT figures, we know that demand for used models among consumers remains strong.”
