Charging points offer opportunity for new revenue streams

Andersen EV, manufacturer of electric vehicle (EV) rechargers, has introduced the A2 charging point.

The A2 is a three-phase charger which develops a peak output of 22kW, three times that of the previous A1 unit.

This offers the capability to charge most EVs to 80% of full capacity in 30 minutes.

Further to this,Β the A2 is now SMART enabled. Supported by Andersens’s Konnect app, the unit can be remotely monitored. Available information includes current charging status, live energy usage, charge cost, and time until fully charged.

With this data it is possible to monitor the energy used and charge accordingly, creating an additional revenue stream for the business offering EV charging capabilities.

The A2 can be connected to solar panels and power walls, meaning the delivered charge is carbon-zero. When drawing on standard power, the Konnect system can balance the load, ensuring the grid is not overloaded.

Andersen charging points are housed in a robust chassis which features self-contained Evoflek charging cables. Just Energy Solutions can install the units, while performance is tracked via a WiFi connection.
