Motor Trader has published a digital Exclusive Supplement Called ‘Back to Business’ as showrooms opened for business on 1 June.
The Supplement includes Best Practice sections on social distancing, Digital and Online and hygiene measures to combat COVID-19.
The Best Practice cases highlight the actions dealers are taking to ensure compliance with the new rules.
The government has issued guidelines on what needs to be done and the NFDA and SMMT have taken these and refined them to provide a more tailored approach for dealers to open for business in a way that is safe for customers and employees alike.
For weeks dealers have been putting these guidelines in place. It certainly means that selling cars is not what it was prior to the lockdown in terms of social distancing and hygiene.
We have contacted dealer groups of varying sizes to get their take on compliance and the operational realities.
