eStar Truck and Van is to open a new Mercedes-Benz van dealership on the Alchemy Business Park, Knowsley.
The dealership is located adjacent to the A580 East Lancashire Road and just half a mile from Junction 4 of the M57.
eStar holds the Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicle franchise for the North West and North Wales and will be setting up a new dealership at Element to include workshops as well as head office space.
eStarTruck and Van was created by transport industry entrepreneur Sid Sadique in late 2020 when he bought most of the assets of Roanza Truck & Van, after the former franchisee fell into administration.
Sadique is chairman of eStar, which has its HQ in Warrington and outlets in Liverpool, Manchester, Stoke-on-Trent and Deeside.
The company, which has a turnover of circa £140m, recruited the former MD of Mercedes-Benz Vans Steve Bridge (pictured) as its MD in late 2020.
Sadique said: “We’re pleased to announce this latest investment in the eStar journey, establishing the business as the leading Mercedes-Benz truck and van dealer in the country.
“The team, led by Steve Bridge the managing director, are setting new standards of customer service, and the new footprint at Knowsley will be the first of its kind in Europe.
“The new development, which is expected to launch towards the end of the year, will be housing separate van and truck workshops, providing customer experience and service of the highest standard.”
