Paul Bentley, former group operations director for Lookers is joining the National Franchised Dealers Association (NFDA) to support dealers during the current motor finance upgheaval.
Bentley was a “key stakeholder” at Lookers when it was being investigated by the Financial Conduct Authority over breaches in the sale of motor finance.
“I am delighted to announce that Paul Bentley, former group operations director for Lookers will be joining the NFDA to help navigate the current F & I challenges.
“Paul’s extensive experience, specifically in F&I, will ensure that we have the necessary skills and knowledge within the team to support the dealer network” said NFDA CEO Sue Robinson.
“Paul was a natural choice to join the team as he was a key stakeholder in the planning and delivery of the Lookers transformation during the FCA investigation, which concluded in March 2021.
“This unique experience means he is ideally placed to support the NFDA and its dealer members in delivering well informed and balanced planning to deal with the challenges ahead.
“This is a very defining time for our automotive sector, and it is now more important than ever that we have a collaborative, same direction strategy in place within the network. Paul will work with all the various stakeholders to ensure that this is the case going forward and that we are in a strong position to deliver the best possible outcomes together” added Robinson.
