Swindon-based Fish Brothers delivered increased turnover and reduced profits in the year to December 2023.
Pre-tax profits fell by 28.2% to £2.8m for the period on turnover up 21.4% to £248.5m
The group increased new car sales to 7,811 (2022: 6,663) while used car sales fell to 2,877 (3,019) and servicing hours dipped to 80,746 (83,762).
The group has strength-in-depth in the Swindon area representing Cupra, Dacia, Honda, Kia, Lexus, Nissan, Renault, Seat, Skoda, Toyota and VW Commercial.
During the period it parted company with Peugeot as a result of the Stellantis review of brands.
It said that supply issues continued to be an issue in the UK.
“New vehicle supply issues remain with the level of new registrations in the UK still behind the pre-pandemic levels. Supply logistic issues continue with both new vehicles and component parts impacting the industry,” it said in results filed at Companies House.
Fish Brothers is a supporter of the Nelson Trust, which has been working 38 years with vulnerable people who have multiple and complex needs including, addiction, trauma and offending.
