Ford’s top-end FordStore dealers have opened order books for the all-new Mustang which is due in UK showrooms in the autumn.
This is the first time in the car’s 50 year history that it has been available in the UK in right hand drive.
Equipped with a 314PS 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine or a 418PS 5.0-litre V8 engine, the new Ford Mustang fastback and convertible models are priced from £28,995 to £38,495.
Available with six-speed manual or automatic transmission, the Mustang features as standard: 19-inch wheels, a performance brake package, automatic HID xenon headlamps, LED tail lamps, and a rear diffuser. Further standard equipment includes dual-zone climate control, a nine-speaker sound system, and SYNC 2 voice control connectivity with an eight-inch colour touch screen.
An online configurator will enable customers to specify their Mustang and review pricing. In addition, smartphone and tablet users can see and share exactly how their chosen Mustang could look, using a new app that places the car in the setting of their choice.
The Ford Mustang will be exclusively displayed and sold by the brand’s new FordStores, located in major conurbations and selling the Blue Oval’s full car and van ranges and upmarket Vignale sub brand. Ford has identified 65 UK locations and already has 30 sites being prepared with some sites already open in Liverpool and Chelmsford.
