PRESS RELEASE
GFORCES MAKES SERVICE PLANS MORE PROFITABLE
Transaction prices are 66 per cent less than with rival systems
GForces, the UK auto sector web management firm, is offering dealers an innovative way of increasing aftersales income with the introduction of a new service plan system. Called NetDirector Service Plans, the web-based solution is easier to manage than rival service plan packages, and is significantly more profitable to operate. There are no fees for setting-up individual customer plans, transaction fees are 66 per cent lower than the industry average, and funds go straight into the dealer’s bank account, rather than coming via an intermediary.
NetDirector Service Plans is quick and easy to set up, requiring no software installation and being easy to integrate with a dealer’s existing website. Service plan details that are specific to the individual dealer – such as vehicle makes, models and service intervals – are pre-populated and then updated automatically by GForces. Only the service prices need to be added by the dealer, during the set-up phase.
Low management cost is a major differentiator for NetDirector Service Plans. Significantly, there are no set-up fees incurred for signing-up new customers to a service plan; traditionally, a dealer will incur an average charge of £18 for each new plan. Instead, there is a single, modest monthly licence fee, allowing the dealer to further increase the system’s cost-effectiveness by selling more plans.
Transaction charges – applied each time a claim is made against the service plan agreement – are just 20p per transaction with NetDirector Service Plans, equating to a 66 per cent reduction compared to that of existing service plan packages. The GForces system has also been configured so that all funds levied to the customer are paid directly into the dealer’s bank account, aiding cash-flow. With conventional service plans the funds are paid first to the service plan provider, and are then held for a period of time prior to transfer to the dealer.
The NetDirector Service Plans system has been designed with a convenient, easy-to-navigate interface – which can be bolted-on to a dealer’s existing website – making it easier to attract and then sign-up new customers to service plan agreements. Customers can even use the site to assess and manage the timing of their own services. Service plan offerings can be tailored by the individual dealer, and can include contracts for up to four years combined with interest-free monthly instalments.
Tim Smith, GForces Commercial Director, commented: “With declining vehicle parcs and extended service intervals, the importance for dealers of maximising aftersales revenue has been brought into even sharper focus. On top of this, consumers have been squeezed by tough economic conditions, and many are turning to independent dealers for cheaper servicing.
“NetDirector Service Plans can be used to offer customers a range of compelling service plan solutions, and at the same time enables the dealers to make more money from these agreements than they can with any rival service plan solution.”
