Greenhous Group turned in a strong performance in the year to December 2015 with pre-tax profits up 34.8% to £5.5m on turnover up 6.1% to £727.1m
During the year the group saw new car sales rise 6.2% with fleet growing by 9.9% and retail by 2.5%. Van sales were particularly strong, up 15% for the period.
Greenhous said its aftersales business was growing but it was coming under pressure from independent garages on servicing and independent factors supplying parts.
“The continued growth in vehicle sales is beginning to help fire our aftersales and the expectation is that this will continue to create more opportunities for our parts and service operations.
“Although with the aggressive nature of independent service outlets and motor factors we expect margins to come under pressure,” it said in its strategic report submitted with the accounts at Companies House.
The group is operated by joint chief executives Derek Passant and Kerry Finnon who executed a successful management buy-out of the group in 2005.
Greenhous is rated 15 in the most recent Motor Trader Top 200 dealer groups. It expanded its operations from the west Midlands into Wales in 2015 with the acquisition of Ford sites in Newton and Welshpool.
Greenhous now represents Dacia, Ford, Nissan, Renault, Toyota, Vauxhall and Volvo.
