Group 1 signs deal with Bumper Buy Now Pay Later finance product

Group 1 Automotive has renewed a multi-year agreement with payment platform Bumper.

The dealer group will continue to use Bumper’s Buy Now, Pay Later product for splitting the cost of car repairs and servicing into affordable, interest-free payments.

Spanning all 93 dealer sites, this renewed agreement is for 13 franchises which include BMW, Ford, Kia, Skoda and Mercedes-Benz and secures the healthy partnership between Bumper and Group 1 Automotive for a further 2 years, having partnered since June 2019.

“With the increasing pressure UK households are under, due to the cost-of-living crisis, offering greater flexibility when it comes to paying those important bills is key,” Paul Lacy, Group 1 Automotive’s aftersales director has said.

“We are really pleased to have re-signed another 2-year agreement with Bumper, allowing us to continue to offer our customers the flexibility and convenience for how they can settle their bills.”

CCO and co-founder of Bumper, Jack Allman has said: “We are delighted to be able to continue to work with Group 1 Automotive and securing our partnership for a further 2-years allows us to continue to support consumers with managing their bills in an affordable way.”

Bumper works with over 4,000 dealerships and garages across the UK, Spain, Germany and Republic of Ireland, helping over 350,000 drivers to pay their servicing and repair bills.

Bumper is based in London and Sheffield, with a tech development centre in Ankara, Turkey.

It is a former winner of the finance product of the year in the Motor Trader Industry Awards.
