Based on 18 year-old Radcliffe registering his Fiat Punto at his Fulham address, and on 29 year-old Pete Doherty registering his Jaguar X-Type at his Wiltshire abode, Confused.com found that their annual car insurance quotes differed by up to £3,451.69, or 508%, in some instances. The colossal disparity between the stars’ quotes is all the more shocking when taking into account Pete Doherty’s convictions for a string of drug and driving offences.[1]

“It is frustrating that Daniel Radcliffe, who owns a modest car and lives a ‘clean’ lifestyle, is expected to pay a high price for his car insurance, just because he is under the age of 25 and living in London. Despite his rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle, string of convictions, and swanky Jaguar X-Type, Pete Doherty’s insurance is, on average, £2,680 per year cheaper than his youthful celebrity counterpart, predominantly because he is nearly a decade older.
