What do you get if you cross a car thief, an angry dwarf and rural America? Why this rather amusing banned Honda ad that’s what. If the 70’s classic Deliverance was ever made into a car ad this would be it. As one YouTube user puts it: “One thing to be learnt, don’t piss off the dwarf!”
In a desperate attempt to shoehorn a bit of nookie into this week’s edition, Car Crash TV has stumbled upon this naughty German ad. Not strictly a car commercial per say but there is a motor in there and a whole lot more. Lucky car, that’s all we can say. While Sherrif John Burnett’s ultra blow-dried style alone makes this clip of an “insane car crash” worth watching, it’s the climax at the end that really does it for us – we defy you to watch it without your jaw dropping. Twice. There were once simpler times in America when the axis of evil was just a twinkle in Bush Sr’s eye and doing your bit for the country was about cheesy music and errrr… driving round in a stars and stripes covered saloon. This ad from the Department of Transportation sums up those innocent pre George Dubya days.
