Isuzu UK dealer Oliver Landpower is celebrating two centuries of business in the agricultural industry.
The dealership’s anniversary has been celebrated throughout 2023, with the bicentenary being showcased at various events, including the Hertfordshire County Show. As part of the festivities, a special 200-year logo was unveiled for one year only, representing the rich heritage and deep-rooted establishment of the Oliver Landpower business.
The culmination of the year-long celebration took place on Saturday, June 10th, with an inclusive family day, bringing over 490 staff members and their loved ones gathered to commemorate the milestone.
The event showcased a display of machinery sold by the company since the early 1900s. Following this occasion, Oliver Landpower hosted a customer and suppliers’ day on Tuesday, June 13th, expressing gratitude to the valued individuals who have contributed to the enduring success of the business.
Established in 1823 as an Agricultural Contracting business by Thomas Oliver. It now has a presence in five locations across the home counties and beyond serving the agriculture, groundcare, and commercial vehicle industries.
Olivers added Isuzu to its product portfolio in 2013, with Isuzu operations based in Kings Langley, Hertfordshire, and Tingewick, Buckinghamshire, as part of Oliver Landpower Ltd.
Charlie Glenister, managing director of Oliver Landpower, said: “Isuzu is the ultimate fit to our business model. Our core business client, whether Agricultural, Groundcare, Municipal, Event management and lifestyle customers, all use pick-ups and the D-Max includes a vehicle for all applications and requirements. From the Utility through to V-Cross and AT35, there is no other range that can offer this level of choice backed by the proven Isuzu heritage.”
Alan Able, managing director of Isuzu UK, added: “Not only is it massively encouraging to be celebrating Olivers’ 200th anniversary of business, but it is also wonderful to have reached a decade of partnership between Isuzu UK and Oliver Landpower. These coinciding milestones perfectly capture the commitment to reliability and longevity which both businesses hold at utmost importance.”
