Jardine Motors Group has raised £258,558.63 for Whizz-Kidz in the first year of its Corporate Charity Partnership.
The group carried out a series of money-raising events, including dinner dances, sporting events and a casino night.
It also auctioned off a fully restored 1982 Porsche 911 SC, which raised £52,000 at the Lancaster Whizz-Kidz Charity Ball.
Mark Herbert, chief executive of Jardine Motors Group, said: “This is a phenomenal result and far exceeds the internal target we set ourselves at the beginning of our partnership with Whizz-Kidz.
“I am delighted with how our staff have got behind this partnership with such enthusiasm and am extremely proud of the ingenuity they have shown with their fund raising activities.
“I am also very grateful for the generosity that our customers have shown in helping us to reach this impressive total.”
Ruth Owen OBE, chief executive of Whizz-Kidz said: “At Whizz-Kidz, we believe that every young disabled person has the right to a fun and active childhood, and the chance to develop their full potential in life. We work hard to transform the lives of disabled children across the UK, supporting them to become confident and independent young adults.”
Whizz-Kidz sets disabled children free to reach their true potential and live their lives to the full.
