JLR is investing more than £1 million in support of policing to tackle organised crime groups targeting vehicles.
Several police forces will have additional, dedicated resources to respond to vehicle thefts in hotspots across the UK.

A new national policing unit to gather intelligence assess activity at the ports exploited by criminal gangs to export vehicles.
Specialist officers will have more capacity to investigate. Pilot operations with two police forces have resulted in stolen vehicle recoveries and arrests.
JLR supports UK authorities by sharing vehicle location and telematics data. It has trained over 650 officers to assist the search of recovered stolen vehicles and seizure of the tools used.
Police National Computer data shows only 0.2% of new Range Rover and new Range Rover Sports have been stolen since January 2022 and only 0.3% of new Defenders have been impacted since launching in 2020.
