John Clark to invest £9m in new Audi Aberdeen centre

John_Clark_Audi_620John Clark Motor Group has announced plans to invest over £9m in a new flagship Audi dealership in Aberdeen.

The development will be the first of its kind in Scotland and one of only a handful of similar dealerships in the UK. The 59, 860 sq. ft. site will be almost double the size of the current Aberdeen Audi footprint, becoming the group’s largest standalone dealership.

The showroom will sit alongside the group’s recently completed Nissan and Mini facilities at Balmoral Park and will have room to display up to 20 cars, while the four-acre site will see display space doubled for used car sales.

The group said service capacity will be increased to handle up to 36 cars with the aftersales facility accessed by customers via a fully enclosed drive-through service reception, the first such facility in Scotland.

“Our business has always been about providing the best customer experience and the new Aberdeen Audi dealership will house some of the latest retail technology to ensure that this continues to be the case as we continue to grow,” said Chris Clark, John Clark’s group business development director.

“This investment is a real recognition of our team’s hard work in recent times as well as our commitment to the Audi brand. We are all now looking forward to seeing the new premises when they are ready in 2015 and welcoming our customers to one of the most advanced retail facilities in Scotland.”

The group, rated 18 in the Motor Trader Top 200, said this latest development will see the creation of up to 20 new jobs to support the increased sales and service offering. Completion of the new dealership is expected in 2015 Q4.

The announcement comes as the group also invests £700,000 into its Dundee Audi flagship, which will extend the showroom by 2,200 sq. ft. and create more office space and customer accommodation.
