John Stuart Motor Company is now representing MG Rover in Warrington, Cheshire. It marks the return of the brand to Warrington after more than a decade.
The family-run business established in 2007 has 150 new and used cars in stock at any one time.
The company is headed up by managing director James Drinkwater who has 15 years’ experience in the motor trade, working at Honda, Volkswagen and Aston Martin.
“It was a natural progression for us to take on a franchise and we all felt that MG was the perfect fit,” he said.
John Stuart Motor Company is holding a weekend launch event, starting Friday 3 June. Those in attendance will include MG Triple Eight racing drivers Josh Cook and Ashley Sutton.
There will also be a competition on the Friday night, at the pre-race Q&A event, to win tickets to that weekend’s Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship round at Oulton Park.
“We’re really looking forward to the launch and welcoming old and new faces to the dealership. It’s an exciting time for us and MG, particularly with the launch of the new model only just around the corner,” said Drinkwater.
Matthew Cheyne, head of sales and marketing, at MG Motor, said: “This was a really important area for us to fill, so we’re thrilled to welcome John Stuart Motor Company on board.”
