Kia Motors (UK) has appointed David Hilbert as its new marketing director, replacing Mark Hopkins who left the company in March.
Hilbert has joined Kia from Toyota (GB) where he was general manager of vehicle marketing for three years.
Prior to that, he held marketing, sales and purchasing roles at the company.
A graduate of Loughborough University, Hilbert worked in high street retailing before joining the motor industry.
“Kia has a fantastic dealer network some of whom I know from my Toyota experience and is committed to providing the very best customer experience both in sales and service.
“It will be my job to ensure that growth continues and that we work together to make the Kia brand even more surprising and satisfying,” he said.
Simon Hetherington, commercial director at Kia Motors (UK), said: “We are very pleased David is joining us as our momentum and growth continues and with four all-new models on the way in 2017.
“I am confident he will apply his excellent marketing experience to our activities and will help lead the continuous willingness to change and develop throughout the company and the network.”
