Leasing.com partners with Motorway to add selling option

Leasing.com has partnered with Motorway.

The new partnership will see Motorway’s platform integrate directly into Leasing.com’s enquiry pages, allowing prospective customers to sell their car before leasing their new car.

The deal sees two brands come together in a multi-year agreement designed to revise the way online car leasing works, which has historically relied on car owners selling their car privately before signing a new lease contract.

Thanks to Motorway’s network of more than 4,000 verified car dealers using the platform to directly bid on vehicles that are for sale, customers will typically sell their cars for a great price in as little as 24 hours – and can use those funds to access affordable new car leasing offers. The service is entirely free of charge and consumers only sell their existing vehicle if they get the offer they want through Motorway. The partnership had a successful start with the very first transaction seeing a Porsche Taycan Turbo sell for £122,495.

Paul Harrison, Head of Strategic Partnerships at Leasing.com, said: “It’s great to be working with Motorway to help remove a known pain point in private new car transactions. Motorway’s technology makes consumers comfortable by putting them in the driving seat on securing the best price for their car. It’s a great time for consumers to consider benefiting from the current high used car prices. As the car leasing comparison site, we want to help more consumers benefit from affordable and stress-free new car leasing.”

Alex Buttle, Co-Founder at Motorway, added: “By partnering with Leasing.com, we can connect the dots for car owners so they can sell and lease with ease. Our aim is to take the stress out of the car selling process and help our customers get the best possible deal for their car. We’re proud to be the UK’s fastest growing used car marketplace, enabling more than 8,000 successful car sales each month, as more people look for a new and better way to sell their car.”
