Marshall franchise director Tim Murphy makes ‘difficult decision’ to leave group

Marshall franchise director Tim Murphy has parted ways with the dealer group owned by Constellation Automotive.

Murphy said it was a “difficult” decision to make but the time was right to move on to look at new opportunities.

Murphy had worked most recently at Marshall as franchise director JLR and before that franchise director for Audi. He had been operations director at Motorline before it was acquired by Marshall. Marshall was subsequently bought by Constellation Automotive.

“After 22 years continued service with both Marshall Motor Group and formerly Motorline I have decided that now is the right time for a change.

“It’s been a difficult decision to make, but when you don’t get ‘the feeling’ that you used to get, you just know when it’s time to move on,” he said.

“Reflecting on these incredible 22 years, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing and contributing to the growth of Motorline into the thriving business that caught the eye of Marshall Motor Group, culminating in its acquisition in 2021.

“To be part of the Motorline Executive Board was a privilege, and I’m proud to have played a role in steering the group toward numerous successes. And then, to be part of Marshall Motor Group and to be welcomed so warmly by Daksh Gupta, Jamie Crowther and Jon Head, has been truly rewarding and I extend my thanks to them.

“Regrettably circumstances have prevented me from being able to say goodbye to many of you that I work with in person, unfortunately the timing and geography did not allow for this to happen.

“For me personally, I am planning to take some time out to rejuvenate and contemplate where my next adventure will lead me.”
