McLaren New Forest goes forward to global awards event

McLaren New Forest, part of the Harwoods group, has been named as one of the British luxury supercar makers top 11 global retailers.

Becoming part of McLaren’s Premier Club, McLaren New Forest joins 10 other McLaren retailers from around the world in the first stage of the luxury supercar company’s annual competition to celebrate the highest standards of business, sales and customer service within the global McLaren retailer network which now covers over 101 retailers in over 41 territories.

As the newest member of the Premier Club, McLaren New Forest now goes forward to the next round of the awards competition to find winners of each of the regions (Europe, Middle East and Africa; Asia Pacific and China; and The Americas).

April will see the announcement of the McLaren regional winners for Europe, the Middle East and Africa; Asia Pacific and China; and The Americas), culminating in the crowning of the overall McLaren Global Retailer of the Year 2022 at a ceremony to be held in April.

As well as being acclaimed as the world’s top McLaren retailer, the winner of the overall title will see their name engraved on the Retailer of the Year trophy which will go on display in the McLaren Technology Centre trophy cabinet at the heart of McLaren Automotive in Woking, UK alongside trophies from the brand’s 60 years since it was founded in 1963. Regional winners will each receive a Premier Club trophy to display in their showrooms.

This is the seventh year of the McLaren Retailer of the Year awards, recognised around the world as a gold standard of supercar customer service and retail business administration. To determine each winner, McLaren Automotive benchmarks multiple areas of business on a monthly basis using a digital scorecard.

Refreshed for 2022, the areas the retailer network are measured against include new and used sales, parts, service, options uptake and operational excellence, all weighted to ensure retailers of all sizes can compete on an even basis.

Previous winners have included McLaren Beverly Hills, McLaren Toronto, McLaren Glasgow and McLaren Dallas.
