Mini has topped the table as the UK’s slowest depreciating used car for the second year in a row.
The diesel-powered Mini 1.4TD currently has an average trade-in value of 63.2 per cent, according to EurotaxGlass’s
That value is £600 less than a year ago, however, when its trade-in value was listed at 71 per cent.
The Citroen C1 was ranked second, retaining 61.2 per cent of its value, followed by the Ferrari F430 Coupe/Spider with 60.9 per cent.
Other new entries in the Top 10 were small, fuel-efficient and relatively inexpensive models.
They included three-year-old examples of the Toyota Aygo, Peugeot 107, and Smart 700 – all retail between £4,000 and £5,000 and qualify for lower levels of VED.
The Alfa Romeo 166 was left languishing at the bottom of the table, retaining just 12 per cent of its value after three years.
It was joined by the Rover 45 and 75 and the Saab 9-5 all of which retained less than 18 per cent of their original list price.
