Mitsubishi Motors in the UK to exhibit at the 2019 CV show

Mitsubishi Motors in the UK will showcase a unique one-off show truck at the 2019 Commercial Vehicle Show.

The Mitsubishi L200 ‘eSports Concept’, winner of the inaugural Mitsubishi Motors in the UK ‘Truck King Battle’, is set to be unveiled at the show.

Designed by Joanne Tulloch, sales administrator at Livery Dole Mitsubishi in Exeter, the Mitsubishi L200 eSports Concept features a rear gaming zone, bespoke seating and lighting, a refreshment bar and high-power audio system, as well as a special wheel and tyre package and numerous other modifications.

The manufactures stand will also feature seven Mitsubishi vehicles, including the Shogun Sport Commercial, Outlander PHEV Commercial and the L200 Barbarian Black.

Other show highlights include LDV’s unveiling of a new electric van.

It will be the smaller version of the first electric vehicle launched by LDV, the EV80. This model has a 120-mile range on a single charge and can be fully charged in less than 90 minutes.

The new EV will be the first model launched by LDV that will be specifically designed and manufactured as a pure-electric van tailored for the UK market, and will go on sale in 2020.

Details are being kept quiet until the unveiling at the CV Show.

LDV has billed the EV80 for city driving and says that it is already being used by delivery and utility companies, together with selected city councils across the UK.

The van features an advanced “pure electric power” along with a digital intelligent CVT, which adjusts the torque and output power of the motor under different conditions to smooth the vans, ride.

Mark Barrett, general manager of LDV U.K. & Ireland, said that the manufacturer is fully committed to greener motoring and is confident that switching to electric motoring can future-proof a business.
