ExxonMobil Lubricants and Petroleum Specialties has launched Mobil 1 ESP 0W-30. Developed using the latest synthetic lubricant technology, Mobil 1 ESP 0W-30 has the potential to improve fuel economy by 2.6%1, delivering even greater fuel economy than many other Mobil 1 grades, while optimising engine protection and supporting the use of exhaust emission technologies.
Mobil 1 ESP 0W-30 has been expertly engineered to help prolong the life and maintain the efficiency of emission systems in both diesel and petrol powered vehicles. Its balanced formulation low in ash helps to reduce particulate build up whilst its low sulphur and phosphorous content prolongs the life of catalytic converters. Furthermore, the low viscosity grade gives car dealers a new fully synthetic option that will enable them to drive profitability by offering their customers a product which meets their desire to save money on fuel costs.

Available to Mobil 1 franchised car dealers, Mobil 1 ESP 0W-30 has gained BMW LL-04 approval, proving its suitability for use in the full range of BMW vehicles3, whether it’s the recently launched BMW 3 Series Saloon or a classic, such as the BMW 628CSi. This product is yet another example of ExxonMobil’s focus to develop engine oils to help maximise the performance of BMW vehicles. As far back as 1990, ExxonMobil ran a one million kilometre, continuous, four year test on a BMW 325i with a 2.5 litre in-line 6-cylinder engine, to assess the engine protection capability of Mobil 1. The car, which is still in operation today, showed minimal signs of engine wear despite the rigorous trial.
Mobil 1 ESP 0W-30 also meets or exceeds the requirements of many other leading industry and car manufacturers’ standards required for newer modern diesel and petrol powered passenger car engines. It is recommended for many types of modern automobile engines, especially the high-performance petrol and diesel engines found in the latest passenger cars and light vans.
As well as this new addition to the product range to help dealers increase sales, ExxonMobil helps dealers optimise lubricant profitability through the Mobil 1 Performance Programme. Designed with input from dealer principals, the programme delivers assets which help to boost customer loyalty and sales.
It incorporates innovative digital marketing, sales and training resources, and several other fundamental areas that can maximise engine oil sales and profitability. This type of support allows a dealership to move from a commodity-based to a value-added sales approach, whilst also tackling the customer perception that a service representative is more concerned about meeting a sales goal than providing helpful advice.

Mobil 1 formulation synthetic engine oils are available in the following viscosity grades in the United Kingdom & Ireland: Mobil 1 ESP Formula 5W-30; Mobil 1 New Life 0W-40; Mobil 1 Turbo Diesel 0W-40; Mobil 1 Extended Life 10W-60; Mobil 1 Fuel Economy 0W-30, Mobil 1 0W-20 and Mobil 1 ESP 0W-40 – dexos2™ licensed engine oil.
