The World Cup is now a week old and we are into the second round of group games.
So far we have been impressed with Germany and Argentina, while the likes of Uruguay, Mexico, Paraguay, Japan and Switzerland have all produced decent results. France have been bitterly disappointing and Spain have been shocked by the Swiss.
England have the chance to make their mark on the tournament tonight when the take on Algeria. Anything other than a win would be unthinkable.
