Motorline acquires seventh Nissan dealership

Nissan_signage_620Motorline has acquired its seventh Nissan dealership with the purchase of an West Way business in Oxford.

Founded in 1972, the family-owned business now represents Volkswagen, Toyota, Lexus, Renault, Dacia, Hyundai, Peugeot, Skoda, Nissan, Maserati and Infiniti.

It has dealerships located across Kent, West Sussex, Surrey, Berkshire, Bristol and South Wales.

Motorline has been expanding. In January it acquired a Peugeot site in Rochester from Robins and Day.

In October last year it opened a purpose built Skoda showroom in Canterbury following a £3.7m investment.

Last year also saw it growing its Maserati business with new showrooms in Maidstone and Cardiff.

Tony Jones, operations director at Motorline, said: “We are delighted to welcome the team at Oxford into the Motorline Group and look forward to maximising the opportunity to develop the business to even greater success.

“This is an exciting time for us as we continue to expand our dealership network in the South East and take a further foothold into the Thames Valley.”

Motorline is rated 36 in the Motor Trader Top 200 with annual turnover of £333.7m in 2014. It is estimated to have turnover of close on £400m for 2015.
