Ford’s compact sports utility EcoSport was Britain’s fastest selling used car last month, according to data from the Indicata used vehicle management portal.
It found that the EcoSport, which was recently facelifted, spent an average of 38 days on used dealer forecourts. The second placed Ford Kuga took a day longer to find buyers.
However in volume terms the EcoSport is trailing many other models in the survey with 669 units sold in November. By contrast the Ford Fiesta secured 5,964 sales last month, and took an average of 43 days to sell, putting the model in fifth place behind the Kia Sportage and Seat Ibiza, and level pegging with the Hyundai Tucson, and Renault Kadjar.
The Peugeot 3008 was in sixth position, followed by the Mercedes-Benz A-Class and Nissan Juke in joint seventh spot at 47 days, one day ahead of the eight placed Renault Clio.
The Mercedes GLA, Vauxhall Mocca, VW Tiguan, Golf, Range Rover Sport and Fiat 500 took an average 49 days to sell, and shared the ninth slot. The Toyotal C-HR was in 10th place at 50 days.
“No surprises the volume brands maintain a presence within the top 10 but the appearance of the Range Rover Sport is perhaps indicative of moving into the winter months combined with its strong following within the premium used SUV sector,” said Indicata national business development manager Neil Gilligan.
The Indicata portal is managed by Autorola UK and surveyed the fasts-selling six to 36 month old cars from the 88,039 that found buyers last month.
