Renault Retail Group appoints new managing director

RichardHemming_620Renault Retail Group has appointed Richard Hemming as managing director of its UK operations.

Hemmings has worked in motor retailing for 30 years, most recently head of business at Audi Centre in Dublin.

In the past he was principal of Hemming Automotive and managing director of Ford Retail in the UK and Austria.

RRG has promoted Barry Jones and Chris Williams to the positions of operations directors to take responsibility for the day to day running of the business.

RRG has 18 Renault sites in the UK, six Nissan and one used car supermarket.

Hemming said:  “I am thrilled at the prospect of joining RRG. With the new range of products arriving from our manufacturer partner alongside some of the best located dealership sites in the country and backed by a highly professional and well organised local team, it is clear there is a huge opportunity for RRG to develop our business for the future.”

Len Curran, RRG European operations director, said: “Richard brings a vast and valuable experience to RRG and I am confident that he will make a strong contribution in developing the business to face the challenges of meeting customer expectations in a changing market and delivering the performance required by RRG and our manufacturer partners.”
