The lightweight Dyson Transloader TR2 conversion, which is fitted to a Vauxhall Movano chassis, features a fully-welded aluminium platform construction and the mounting of safety lighting onto the cab, allowing the best possible payload when working within 3500kg gross vehicle weight. The vehicle also features an electric winch, aluminium loading ramps and plastic storage lockers.
Commenting on the Transloader order, managing director Roger Dyson says: “The Transloader TR2 is ideal for quick collection and delivery of vehicles up to 1525kg and, thanks to its low gross vehicle weight, falls outside of the ‘Tachograph’ driving hours law, meaning the vehicle can legally operate on UK motorways at 70 mph.”
Another vehicle scheduled for delivery to Eclipse in June 2008 is a new Hydraloader 4500 LA fitted to a DAF LF sleeper cab, which will be used by Eclipse for its operations in Europe.
Topping these orders is Eclipse Recovery’s biggest investment in rescue and recovery vehicles in 2008 – a Volvo FH16 8×4 chassis equipped with the Dyson NRC 50/65 sliding rotator system. This impressive conversion will also feature the latest body system from Roger Dyson incorporating additional storage, a three stage recovery boom, four hydraulic winches, removable equipment pod, front and rear support stabiliser jacks operating via manual controls with a digital radio remote control and impressive high line body work to enhance the Volvo Globetrotter Cab.
