Stockton Kia has had a refit, taking on the Korean brand’s new brand identity which was first introduced at the start of 2021.
The refit is the latest of 190 Kia showrooms in the UK to be refitted as part of a nationwide design update.
Reducing the carbon footprint as much as possible and unique to Stockton Kia, a large solar panel array will be installed on the roof of the dealership. The solar energy will be harnessed to power the showroom and expanded workshop with four service bays.
A battery storage system will be installed to store the solar-generated energy, smoothing the energy supply and enabling it to be used at any time, day or night.
The dealership now has four EV fast chargers for customers to use. To ensure the building is energy efficient, heat pumps and LED lighting throughout the showroom have been installed.
Stockton Kia is one of the largest Kia showrooms in the UK. The dealerships has annual turnover of £29.8m.
Sohail Khan, managing director at Stockton Kia, commented: “We are really excited to show everyone the new Stockton Kia and for customers to experience the new showroom.
“We wanted to build the dealership as sustainably as possible and, with solar power and battery storage, we’ll be able to produce green, clean renewable energy to power the entire site.”
