Suzuki GB announces new general manager for dealer development

Suzuki GB has announced Jon Coles as its new general manager for dealer development. He is now responsible for all four dealer divisions which are Automobile, Motorcycle, Marine and All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV).

Taking over from Mark Hallam who retired in March, Coles will lead a team of eight and is responsible for all aspects of network development. This includes onboarding of new dealers, sales training, regular ‘mystery shop’ customer experience exercises and corporate identity.

Coles said: “I am very much looking forward to settling into my new cross -divisional role in Dealer Development with key responsibilities to include helping ensure that Suzuki remains the Number one brand for trust as well as supporting our network to be fully prepared for the transition to an EV range from 2025 through to 2030”.

Coles has 25 years of brand experience as he originated from the brand’s dealer network in 1999 where he held various positions including technician and service manager.

He joined the aftersales division as technical coordinator before progressing to regional sales manager and then technical manager.

More recently, he was general manager of aftersales services where he played a significant role in the creation and launch of its service activated warranty to car and motorcycle owners.
