Vehicle logistics firm Engineius employs operations director

Vehicle movement firm Engineius has appointed Ian Smith as its operations director.

The role will involve overall responsibility for service delivery, supplier engagement and strategic objectives.

He joins the business from motor finance company Oodle, where he worked for over two years as commercial director.

“We’re delighted to welcome Ian on board,” said Calum Slowther, Engineius managing director.

Smith’s appointment comes less than a month after that of Andrew Wyatt as its finance director, the first of several senior arrivals.

Smith said: “I’m delighted to be joining the young and ambitious team at Engineius and being part of an organisation that’s truly focused on making vehicle movement easy for customers.

Engineius was founded in 2018. It now has a network of 500 drivers and agents, serving dealerships, fleets, rental and leasing businesses.
