World Cup Special. Part Deux! Italian Diving; Indy 500 airborne crash; Truck hits barrier, bursts into flames; Adidas, Star Wars and the World Cup!

The World Cup is now a week old and we have learnt a few things. Germany and Argentina look rather impressive. France and Spain may be going home early. Italy are good a diving. At least that’s what this clip seems to suggest. Watch De Rossi diving against Paraguay earlier in the week.

Away from football momentarily, the Indy 500 is always an exciting race, but this airborne crash also highlights the dangers. Fortunately no one was seriously hurt, but the carnage is amazing and the crash spectacular.

Keeping with the theme of spectacular crashes, this speeding truck smashes head on into a barrier and then burst into flames. More carnage. More destruction.

Back to the football. There is usually an abundance of World Cup related advertising beemed directly to our retinas throughout the tournament. Some are good. Some are bad. Most feature Ian Wright. However some are absolutely brilliant. This Adidas advert cleverly combines the World Cup theme, David Beckham, Noel Gallager, Ian Brown with Star Wars.
