Renault Scenic named ‘Car of the Year’ by London EV show

The Renault 5 E-Tech electric, available to order from January, has been named “Car of the Year” at the London EV Show. Priority access to ordering can be acquired through the purchase of a £150 VIP R Pass.

Priced from £22,995 OTR, the pure-electric supermini, won the top car accolade in the newly introduced London EV Show awards. Judges referenced the price, style and versatility as reasons behind this recognition.

Adam Wood, MD and country head Renault Group UK, said: “For the Renault 5 E-Tech electric to be named “Car of the Year” by a highly respected industry event in a forward-thinking city such as London is a great honour.

“It proves that Renault 5 offers an efficient, fun package that is affordable and desirable.”

The vehicle features built-in Google services with EV-optimised navigation and bi-directional functionality with vehicle-to-load capability.

It is available with a choice of two battery sizes and with a heat-pump as standard. With a driving range of up to 248 miles, the vehicle can recharge to 80% in just 30 minutes.

The London EV Show was held at the ExCel and brought together industry leaders, policymakers, and companies committed to driving the transition to EVs.
