Vauxhall Combo Electric’s rental price parity with diesel Combo

Vauxhall’s new offers on the Combo Electric will allow businesses to switch to electric for the same monthly rental as a diesel Combo, with an identical deposit and terms.

The Combo Electric is available on Business Contract Hire through Leasys. On Prime trim, the Combo Electric costs £329pm with a £1,974 deposit. Customers can upgrade to Pro trim for £365pm with a £2,190 deposit. The contract term is 60 months with a mileage allowance of 6,000 miles per year.

James Taylor, MD, Vauxhall, said: “The removal of any additional upfront cost for van drivers looking to go electric is a significant step in our ambition to make electric mobility accessible to all.

“With identical monthly payments and lower running costs, it will allow Combo Electric customers to realise significant savings compared to the equivalent diesel version over the life of the vehicle.”

Van drivers can save around £91 per month by switching to a Combo Electric. It is cheaper than running a diesel Combo. This includes fuel savings of £64 per month based on 500 miles per month (6,000 miles annually) and a saving of £26 per month as a result of the current exemption on VED for EVs.

Sole traders and small businesses in London can access a £9,500 grant by replacing a non-compliant diesel van with a Combo Electric with the ULEZ van scrappage scheme.

The Combo Electric comes with three years of roadside assistance and an eight-year battery warranty.

The vehicle can travel up to 213 miles on a single charge of its 52kWh battery (WLTP) and can be recharged from 0-80% in 30 minutes at a 100kW public charging station

The Combo Electric is produced at the Ellesmere Port plant, the UK’s first EV-only volume manufacturing facility.  Vauxhall’s Luton plant will manufacture electric vans from next year.
