Land Rover unveils on-and-off-road Defender OCTA

Land Rover has revealed that order books for its new Defender OCTA will open soon and prices could start from £145,300 OTR.

Pricing for the New Defender OCTA Edition One may start from £160,800 OTR. The vehicle will debut at the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed from 11–14 July.

Mark Cameron, MD, Defender, said: “With New Defender OCTA we have been able to unlock the full potential of Defender.

“It is the very definition of breadth of capability, and a testament to what we can achieve utilising the very best technologies and talents within our engineering division.

“With its powerful V8 engine, ground-breaking 6D Dynamics suspension technology, exquisite finishes and unique detailing, it is rare, incredibly tough and inherently desirable.”

The OCTA features a 4.4-litre Twin Turbo mild-hybrid V8 producing 635PS and up to 750Nm1 of torque, with 0-60mph acceleration in just 3.8 seconds.

For more technical off-road manoeuvres, the vehicle has terrain response modes with specific calibrations for Sand, Mud and Ruts, Grass Gravel Snow, and Rock Crawl.

The Faroe Green paint is exclusive to the OCTA Edition One. Defender OCTA’s general colour palette will also include Petra Copper, Carpathian Grey and Charente Grey. All Defender OCTA models feature a contrast roof and tailgate in gloss Narvik Black.

Defender OCTA refers to the octahedral shape of a diamond. All Defender OCTA models will have a new encircled diamond graphic, denoting it as the flagship Defender.
