MotoNovo Finance’s Extra Mile Awards 2024 – The Winners

At a packed evening on June 6th in Birmingham, shortlisted dealers and brokers from across the UK joined MotoNovo Finance and media partner Motor Trader to announce the 2024 Extra Mile Award winners. The awards celebrate businesses working in the motor retail sector that have gone the extra mile to help their customers, colleagues, and communities.

Ahead of the awards and very appropriately, Derek Redmond, who was a member of the British team that shocked the athletics world at the 1991 World Athletic Championship by beating the much-favoured American team into second place to claim the gold medal in the 4×400 metres relay explained the team’s success.

The evening before the one mile race, the team backed themselves and changed their running order, a bold and unexpected strategy that successfully converted a hoped for silver medal into an unexpected gold. What may have appeared a modest but nevertheless significant change, delivered success. It was a perfect metaphor for the evening’s event.

As MotoNovo Finance’s Commercial Director Debbie McKay, the event’s host, revealed, the judging panel faced a formidable task. The high calibre of the submissions made identifying the winners a real challenge. However, despite the difficulty, the winners were indeed identified, and they are;

Debbie summed up the evening by reflecting;

“Being dynamic and ready to embrace change is part and parcel of the DNA for the success of any dealer or broker. These awards are about going that additional step, and there was plenty of evidence in the room tonight of businesses that embrace this spirit. It was a privilege to celebrate their efforts and energy.”
