Mini dealers have opened order books for the first special edition version of the current generation hatch.
On sale in both three and five-door versions at prices starting from £18,545, the model is dubbed Mini Seven to recall the heritage of the Mini line, right back to the original 1959 model which was first called the Austin Seven.
It is available in four of the Mini’s engine formats, Cooper, Cooper D, Cooper S and Cooper SD.
The car debuts a new paint finish as standard, dubbed Lapisluxury Blue and described as the most intense blue shade ever applied to a Mini. Pepper White, Midnight Black and British Racing Green versions are also available and all versions include a silver roof and mirror surrounds.
Completing the exterior finish are bespoke sill finishers and side scuttles including the Mini Seven logo, and 17-inch light alloy wheels in a two-tone design.
The interior treatment centres on fabric and leather combination sports seats in a Diamond Malt Brown design. The logo is repeated on the central instrument panel, while standard equipment includes a 6.5-inch colour display, the Mini Connected Bluetooth Handsfree compatibility with a USB audio connection, floor mats, automatic dual-zone air conditioning and a storage compartment pack.
Options available for the car include bonnet stripes in the same silver as the roof, and a bespoke option pack dubbed MINI Seven Chili. Included is leather upholstery in Carbon Black, a steering wheel in Nappa leather with a waxed hand-stitched seam, LED headlights, multifunction controls for the steering wheel and cruise control with a brake function.
The Mini Seven will be unveiled at the Goodwood Festival of Speed between 23rd-26th June.
