Activate outlines plans for bodyshop expansion in 2021

Activate Accident Repair has opened a new bodyshop in Warrington.

The new site is the business’ largest repair centre to date at 24,000 ft2 with the capacity to repair up to 18 vehicles a day. It joins existing outlets in Birmingham, Glasgow and Leeds.

The business is part of Activate Group a group of companies that includes Motor Repair Network, sopp+sopp vehicle management and Activate Parts.

Activate Group delivered pre-tax profits of £338,000 in the year to September 2020 on turnover of £116m.

This compares with pre-tax profits of £609,000 on turnover of £79m the prior year.

Its bodyshops work alongside its approved network of 200 repairers to service hundreds of thousands of claims a year for its fleet and insurance clients.

Victoria Turner, CEO of Activate Accident Repair, outlined ambitious plans for expansion. “We plan to open 15 new repair centres across the UK over the next 12 months, and have a thorough process in place to ensure that each site meets our exceptionally high operating standards.

“For me it’s important that, as well as investing in the best technology, we also invest in our people, with great on-site facilities, training and support.

“We’ve gradually built up the volume of vehicle repairs at Warrington to allow time for the new team to complete a full induction programme focused on service, efficiency and safety.

“The centre is now fully operational and ready to deliver fast, high-quality repairs for its customers.”
